Job summary

Fluor in Texas is seeking a dependable Lowboy Truck Driver (CDL A or B) for the Buda site. You will safely transport construction materials, perform pre/post trip inspections, and maintain logs in compliance with DOT and company policies.

The role requires 2+ years of truck experience, a clean MVR, and ability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends. Competitive hourly pay starts at $23.00+ with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related truck driving experience.
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Clean MVR.
• Experience operating on active construction sites.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Strong commitment to jobsite safety.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and DOT physical.
• MVR must meet company and DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates truck in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area and at various job sites to deliver materials.
• Performs daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Checks fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe operation.
• Keeps accurate log of deliveries and completes required paperwork for billing.
• Load and unload equipment or materials as needed.
• Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle.
• Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.
• Unrolls truck tarp to cover loads when required.
• Assure product quality to the best of the Driver’s ability.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.
• Must keep vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.

Position: Lowboy Truck Driver (CDL A or B)

Location: Buda, TX

Pay Rate: $23.00+ per hour

Schedule: Variable schedule based on concrete pour requirements; overtime, nights, and weekends may be required

Scope of Work: Safely and efficiently operate a truck & trailer for transportation of construction materials and equipment supporting the I-35 South Project.

Responsibilities

• Operates truck in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area and at various job sites to deliver materials.


• Performs daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines.


• Checks fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe operation.

• Load and unload equipment (may include but not limited to: front end loader, crusher equipment, fuel tanks, dozer, excavator, oversized loads) or materials.


• Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle.


• Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.

• Assure product quality to the best of the Driver’s ability.


• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor.


• Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.


• Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.


• Must keep vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.


• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.


• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of related truck driving experience.


• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.


• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).


• Experience operating on active construction sites.


• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.


• Strong commitment to jobsite safety.


• Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.


• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and DOT physical.


• Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet company and DOT standards.
