Job summary

Pennant Solutions Group is seeking a Low Voltage Technician at entry to mid-level (0–2+ years) to join our growing telecommunications and network infrastructure team in the Richmond area.

You will install and route network cabling (CAT5/6), fiber, coax, AV and security wiring, terminate and test connections, install equipment, read basic drawings, and work safely on active construction sites. We provide hands‑on training, room for advancement, and competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on construction sites.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• OSHA 10 is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with low voltage, structured cabling, telecom, construction, electrical, or security systems is a plus but not required for entry-level.

Responsibilities

• Install and route network cabling (CAT5/6), fiber optic cable, coax, AV, and security wiring.
• Terminate and test copper and fiber connections.
• Install equipment such as network switches, cameras, access control devices, wireless systems, and cable racks.
• Read and follow basic prints, drawings, or cable layouts.
• Work safely on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues.
• Keep materials organized and maintain a clean work area.
• Communicate progress with the project team and follow direction from leads/foremen.
