Job summary

Pennant Solutions Group is hiring Low Voltage Technicians to join a growing telecommunications and network infrastructure company in the local area, Richmond, VA. Roles suit both entry-level and experienced technicians as you build a long-term career with hands-on training and room for advancement.

You’ll work on commercial sites, installing cabling, testing connections, and setting up network equipment, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on construction sites.
• OSHA 10 is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with low voltage, structured cabling, telecom, construction, electrical, or security systems is a plus but not required for entry-level.

Responsibilities

• Install and route network cabling (CAT5/6), fiber optic, coax, AV, and security wiring.
• Terminate and test copper and fiber connections.
• Install equipment such as network switches, cameras, access control devices, wireless systems, and cable racks.
• Read and follow basic prints, drawings, or cable layouts.
• Work safely on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues.
• Keep materials organized and maintain a clean work area.
• Communicate progress with the project team and follow direction from Leads/Foremen.
