Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking skilled low voltage technicians for a Montgomery, AL project. The role involves installing and testing structured cabling, MDF/IDF maintenance, and ensuring safety and quality across all installations.

Candidates should have experience with commercial low voltage systems, own tools, and be able to work 2nd/3rd shift with overtime. Travel is 100% to the project site and a clean background is required.

Qualifications

• Must travel 100% to the project site in Montgomery, AL.
• Must own low voltage tools and be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work 2nd/3rd shift, overtime, and under pressure.
• Must pass a 7-year background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
• Commercial construction experience preferred.
• Tech 2: 2+ years of commercial low voltage installation experience; Tech 3: 3+ years.

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cables
• Build, install, and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware
• Perform cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, termination, and testing to ensure safety and compliance
• Deliver exceptional customer service, maintain professionalism and strong communication skills
• Ensure high-quality, organized, and professional workmanship on all installations
