Job summary

Chris Baily is seeking experienced Low Voltage Technicians to join the team in the New York region. This role covers installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems on commercial projects including structured cabling, data centers, security, access control, CCTV, and AV installations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of commercial experience, read blueprints, and can work with Cat5e/6 and fiber optics. Employer offers weekly pay and benefits on long-term projects.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial low voltage installation experience.
  • Experience with structured cabling, voice and data systems, or data center environments.
  • Ability to terminate RJ45 connections and patch panels.
  • Experience pulling cable through conduit, cable tray, and open ceilings.
  • Read construction drawings and cable schedules.
  • Familiarity with TIA/EIA standards.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Install, route, and secure Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling systems.
  • Install and dress patch panels, racks, cabinets, and cable management systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
  • Install and support security cameras, access control systems, and other low voltage devices.
  • Label and document cable installations according to project specifications.
  • Perform cable testing using Fluke testers and other industry-standard equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and fellow technicians.

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Low Voltage Technicians to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low voltage systems in commercial environments. Technicians will work on projects involving structured cabling, data centers, security systems, access control, surveillance cameras, and audiovisual installations.
