A specialized low voltage contractor in Alabama is seeking a Low Voltage Field Technician responsible for installing low voltage systems and cables in commercial environments. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Install and terminate CAT-6A, CAT-6, CAT-5 cables in a commercial environment.
  • Pull and terminate fiber cables in a commercial environment.
  • Dress and terminate distribution frames.
  • Install electronic fixtures like APs, switches, UPS, and cameras.
  • Perform server room rack and stack.
  • Install low voltage cabling according to BICSI standards.

$70-90,000 (or higher/negotiable based on experience)

Summary

The Low Voltage Field Technician is responsible for installing low voltage systems and cables as required for commercial enterprises.

Responsibilities
  • Performs pulling, routing and terminating CAT-6A, CAT-6 and CAT-5 cables in a commercial environment.
  • Performs pulling, routing and terminating fiber cables in a commercial environment.
  • Dresses and terminates distribution frames.
  • Installs electronic fixtures (AP’s, switches, UPS, speakers, horns, projectors, cameras, and other electronics).
  • Performs Server Room Rack and Stack.
  • Installs low voltage cabling based on BICSI standards.
Qualifications
  • Valid Alabama Low Voltage License including Contractor’s License.
  • Familiar with BICSI, EIA, TIA and NEC Standards.
  • Must own your own basic telecom tools and personal protective equipment.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver license. Some positions require a clean DMV record.
