Job summary

ADT is seeking a Field Technician to deliver hands-on installation and support of low‑voltage systems in customer homes and businesses. You will install wiring, test systems, and ensure reliable operation while educating customers on features and basic troubleshooting.

The role emphasizes independent work, safety, and strong communication to build trust and satisfaction. A valid driver's license and ability to work evenings/weekends are required, with company vehicle provided in many locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (additional licensing may be required by location).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, and network diagnostics.
• Ability to safely operate a company fleet vehicle.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and customer‑first communication style.
• Self‑directed with solid time management in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior field technical training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install low‑voltage wiring and mount devices according to site layouts and routing plans.
• Perform site assessments, system testing, and verify connections, including monitoring center communication.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and flag defective materials or job inaccuracies that affect service quality.
• Educate customers on system features, usage, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow all safety protocols.
