Job summary

CAI in Florida is seeking a motivated Low Voltage Technician I to join our onsite team in Pompano Beach. If you have a Class E license, solid knowledge of low-voltage systems and basic 120/240-volt circuits, this is the next step in your career.

You will install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot CCTV, access control, and networked equipment, work Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, and travel for on-site needs. CAI offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class E Driver's License.
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage equipment and basic 120/240-volt electrical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting CCTV systems, security systems, access control systems, thermostats, RS-485 communications, and networking equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
• Proficiency using volt/amp meters and standard hand tools.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to obtain an Aerial Lift Vehicle Operation Certification within one year of hire.
• Ability to complete a 10-hour OSHA Safety Course within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems and equipment.
• Work on card access systems, CCTV, and network video recorders.
• Support tolling sites and facilities with maintenance and installation.
• Troubleshoot power and data cabling infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair system issues with tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Coordinate service across departments and stakeholders.
• Read schematics, diagrams, manuals, and system documentation.
• Complete work orders and maintenance records.
• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in on-call assignments and overnight travel as required.
