Job summary

Summit Fire & Security in Kahului, Hawaii, seeks a Low Voltage Specialties Technician to install, troubleshoot, service and repair low voltage networks, access control, Audio/Video, and security systems with minimal supervision.

This role requires using test equipment, maintaining safety standards, traveling locally as needed, and staying current with evolving technology. Training and certification support are available in a growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• NICET, CTS, manufacturer or state specific certification, preferred.
• 2 years low voltage experience, specifically in networks, A/V, access control and security systems required.
• 2 years of professional computer skills, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Appropriate use of tools and test equipment to repair or replace low voltage components.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of low voltage standards.
• Troubleshoot to determine faults related to networks, A/V, access control and security.
• Repair or replace damaged equipment related to networking, A/V, access control and security systems.
• Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
• Travel 90% locally and be on-call as required by location.
