Job summary

Summit Fire & Security in Houston, TX seeks a Low Voltage Specialties Technician to install, troubleshoot, service and repair low voltage, networks, access control, A/V, and security systems with minimal supervision.

The role requires knowledge of low voltage standards, hands-on experience with networks, A/V, access control and security systems, and strong communication. The position may involve 90% local travel and on-call duties as required by location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. NICET/CTS or manufacturer certifications preferred.
• 2 years low voltage experience in networks, A/V, access control and security.
• Must read, write and communicate in English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair low voltage systems with minimal supervision.
• Use test equipment to repair or replace low voltage components and document work orders.
• Troubleshoot network, A/V, access control and security faults and repair as needed.
• Maintain safety programs, drive company vehicle responsibly, and stay compliant.
• Attend seminars and train service techs on applicable safety and tech topics.
