Job summary

Zeus Fire and Security is seeking an Installation Technician to install, configure, service and repair low voltage systems, including Fire Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Calls and Intercoms.

The role requires strong integrity, teamwork and customer service, with on-site work, potential on-call duties, and focus on code-compliant installations and effective communication with project leads and clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree related to the field preferred.
• Tennessee Alarm System Contractor License required (pass state requirements: drug screen, background check, fingerprinting).
• NICET Certification is optional.
• 1 year of industry experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of low voltage systems including fire alarms, access control, CCTV, nurse calls and intercoms.
• Possess technical and computer skills; good written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Program, startup, troubleshoot and commission new system installations.
• Basic point‑to‑point troubleshooting on fire alarms, access control, CCTV, nurse calls, and intercom systems.
• Communicate project status to project lead and client.
• Assist with installation projects with direction for successful installs.
• Identify issues to project lead and review contracts/designs before installation.
• Perform inspections to ensure alarms meet code; complete detailed reports.
• Respond to emergency service calls and maintain on‑site attendance.
• Shift times may vary; rotation on‑call may be required.
