Job summary

Next Level Technician in Appleton, WI is hiring a Low Voltage Installation Technician. You will pull, terminate, test, and troubleshoot CAT5e/CAT6 and fiber, and install racks, patch panels, cable trays, and cabinets while supporting CCTV, access control, DAS, and AV systems.

This role requires 3+ years of commercial or industrial low voltage experience, familiarity with structured cabling and fiber optics, and willingness to travel across Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic installation, termination, splicing, testing, or troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel to Wisconsin job sites.
• Read blueprints and system layouts.
• Basic PPE and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, label, test, and troubleshoot CAT5e/CAT6 and fiber cabling.
• Test copper and fiber cabling with Fluke testers.
• Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF.
• Perform fiber optic termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Install and support voice/data, DAS, security, access control, CCTV, and AV systems.
• Punch down voice and data jacks.
• Work safely on ladders and lifts; heights aware.
• Read blueprints and system layouts.
• Travel to job sites throughout Wisconsin as needed.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Low Voltage Installation Technician | Appleton, WI Join Next Level Technician as a Low Voltage Installation Technician in Appleton, WI! Earn $24-$26/hr., enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, label, test, and troubleshoot CAT5e/CAT6 and fiber optic cabling
• Test installed copper and fiber cabling using Fluke or similar testers
• Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc.
• Perform fiber optic installation, termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting
• Install and support voice/data, DAS, security, access control, wireless, nurse call, CCTV, and audio/visual systems
• Punch down voice and data jacks
• Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
• Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts
• Install and support access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial or industrial low voltage experience
• Experience with structured cabling, fiber optics, voice/data, security, or related low-voltage systems
• Fiber optic installation, termination, splicing, testing, or troubleshooting experience preferred
• Working knowledge of telecommunications, data networks, cabling, connectivity, and related hardware/software
• BICSI, PMP, lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
• Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
• Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
• Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Wisconsin as needed
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting, climbing 6'+ ladders/lifts, overhead and tight-space work, cable pulling, and frequent local/out-of-state travel as needed
• Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional nights, weekends, and holidays
