Job summary

Next Level Technician is hiring a Low Voltage Cable Technician in Millersville, MD. You will pull, terminate, and label CAT5e/CAT6 and fiber optic cables, test installations, and punch down jacks while installing racks and cable trays across job sites in the DMV region.

Earn $23-$26/hr with weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth through BICSI-certified training. Local candidates preferred with a readiness to travel within the DMV area as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial/industrial low voltage experience.
• Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred.
• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus.
• Basic hand tools and PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 and fiber optic cable.
• Test installed cable with Fluke, OTDR or similar testers.
• Punch down voice and data jacks.
• Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF.
• Work safely on ladders/lifts and read blueprints.
• Install/support access control, CCTV, AV, and fiber optic systems.

Low Voltage Cable Technician Location: Millersville, MD - Local Candidates Only will be considered for this role and must be within a 30 minute or less commute. • Test installed cable (Fluke, OTDR or similar testers)
• Punch down voice and data jacks
• Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc.
• Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
• Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts
• Install/support access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems

Requirements:

• 3+ years commercial/industrial low voltage experience
• Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred
• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
• Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
• Working knowledge of telecom/data networks
• Willingness to travel to job sites within the DMV area as needed
