Job summary

DynaFire is seeking an Installation Technician to support the construction of fire alarm, security, access control, voice/data, and other low voltage systems. The role involves reading blueprints, installing detectors, cameras, and other components, and coordinating with project managers to meet deadlines on-site.

Requirements include 4+ years in fire alarm installation, NICET Level I certification with plans to obtain Level II within 12 months, and participation in DynaFire training.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of installation experience in the fire alarm industry.
• NICET Level I certification and maintenance; Level II to be attained within 12 months.
• May be asked to share in training for DynaFire sponsored programs.
• Manufacturing training to certify in a DynaFire low voltage system.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and relate to building layout.
• Install components of low voltage systems (smoke detectors, pull stations, cameras, door contacts).
• Determine materials and installation procedures from work orders/building plans.
• Meet installation deadlines as directed by site manager or foreman.
• Direct other installers when requested by project manager or foreman.
• Communicate effectively with AHJ.
