Job summary

Next Level Technician in Cary, NC is seeking a Low Voltage Fire Alarm Technician to install, diagnose and service fire alarm systems. You will pull, terminate and label cabling, read blueprints, and ensure NEC/NFPA code compliance.

This role offers weekly pay and a competitive hourly wage of $23-$30, with opportunities for growth and training. Travel to job sites across North Carolina as needed, with benefits and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years demonstrated work history/knowledge in Fire Alarm Systems.
• Understanding of NEC and NFPA requirements (current codes).
• Experience troubleshooting panels, devices, and programming systems (Edwards, Silent Knight, FireLite, etc. a plus).
• NICET Certification is a PLUS; Basic hand tools and PPE required.

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label fire alarm cable
• Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment
• Terminate fire alarm panels and devices
• Read and interpret fire alarm system layouts from blueprints
• Troubleshoot and service existing fire alarm systems
• Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
• Support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites (schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, etc.)

Requirements

• 3+ years demonstrated work history/knowledge in Fire Alarm Systems
• Understanding of NEC and NFPA requirements (current codes)
• Experience troubleshooting panels, devices, and programming systems (Edwards, Silent Knight, FireLite, etc. a plus)
• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
• NICET Certification is a PLUS Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
• Willingness to travel to job sites within North Carolina as needed
