Job summary

Coranet in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a hands-on Low Voltage Estimator for Division 27/28 to own complete commercial bid packages from drawings through pricing, proposal, and turnover. You will work with sales, vendors, and project managers to deliver accurate, clearly scoped bids on time.

This role requires comfort with identifying missing information, documenting assumptions, coordinating priced inputs, and advancing bids without waiting for perfect documents.

Qualifications

• Experience independently estimating commercial low-voltage projects including takeoffs, labor and material pricing, vendor coordination, and proposal preparation.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, access control and physical security, with ability to coordinate pricing for other systems within a complete package.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu or comparable takeoff software.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, addenda, schedules and bid requirements to own the low-voltage scope.
• Perform takeoffs in Bluebeam Revu with part numbers and counts.
• Prepare estimates in simPRO including labor, material, and job-costing inputs.
• Coordinate vendor and distributor pricing and prepare clean, defendable bid packages.
• Identify scope gaps, write RFIs, and propose fixes for bid accuracy.
• Support proposals and bid reviews with clear scope language and value engineering.
• Provide post-award turnover support with scope, labor plans, and procurement notes.
