Low Voltage Equipment Service Technician

Position Overview

Our team of Procedural Service Technicians builds trust and provides exceptional service support by performing equipment servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance. They focus on proactive communication and tailored solutions to meet customer needs in hospital environments, adhering to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  2. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on medical and related equipment, including disassembly, repair, troubleshooting, and calibration.
  3. Provide customer training and in-service on equipment, coordinating with management teams.
  4. Install and start up equipment, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  5. Use technology to complete administrative tasks, document activities, and manage inventory.
  6. Maintain effective communication with customers and internal teams, managing scheduling and responding to issues.
  7. Identify sales opportunities and promote STERIS products/services.
  8. Follow hospital protocols and safety procedures on-site.
  9. Assist with inventory management and procurement activities.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, with 4+ years of relevant work experience, including 2+ years in mechanical/technical roles.
  • Customer service and team engagement skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background and physical assessments.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours and travel as needed.
  • Technical certifications or military experience are a plus.

Pay range: $47,750 - $66,938, with potential bonuses or commissions. We comply with local minimum wage laws and base pay on experience and qualifications.
