Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electrician, Low Voltage to support a government contract based at Kings Bay, Georgia. This journey-level role requires an apprenticeship or equivalent experience and involves installing, servicing, and repairing electrical systems in industrial environments.

Candidates must read blueprints, use testing instruments, and meet safety standards. Amentum offers competitive pay, shift differentials, hazard pay, and comprehensive benefits; Secret clearance eligibility is required

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess at least one of: Certification from Electrical Maintenance level 2; completion of an approved/certified apprenticeship with 3+ years in industrial electrical field; or minimum of 2 years verifiable journey-level experience in commercial/industrial electrical maintenance with 600 VAC and below.
• Must have proven ability to read and comprehend electrical blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Must have knowledge of and be able to use electrical testing instruments.
• Must have a proven troubleshooting ability with AC/DC control systems including motors, transformers, switchgear, panels.
• Ability to read NEC Table 310.16 and interpret wiring sizes and conduit fills.
• Ability to read electrical designs, prepare reports, and complete as-builts.
• Must be able to work at heights up to 300 feet; license to operate mechanical lifting devices up to 132 feet.

Responsibilities

• Installs, services, and repairs electrical equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
• Replaces defective circuit breakers, switches, fuses, and other wiring devices.
• Analyzes and troubleshoots electrical systems using knowledge of electrical theory.
• Follows blueprints, drawings, or other engineering specifications.
• Uses electrician's hand tools and testing instruments.
• Installs conduit using threading, cutting and bending equipment.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.
