Job summary

Next Level Technician in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Low Voltage Data Center Technician – Structured Cabling to join our team. The role focuses on installing and testing data cabling and supporting data center infrastructure across local job sites.

You will work with structured cabling, voice/data, and security systems, with certification testing and safe operation of ladders and lifts. Monthly benefits and ongoing training are provided to grow with the national network.

Qualifications

• Six months of commercial or industrial low voltage experience.
• Structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems experience preferred.
• BICSI, OSHA, and lift certifications are a plus.
• Basic understanding of telecommunications and data network fundamentals.
• Must have basic PPE and tool readiness (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots).

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling.
• Test installed cable using certification testers (e.g., Fluke).
• Punch down voice and data jacks.
• Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF infrastructure.
• Safely operate ladders and lifts; comfortable working at heights.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and system layouts.
• Assist with installation and support of access control, CCTV, A/V, and fiber optic systems.

• Basic understanding of telecommunications and data network fundamentals
• Ability to travel locally to job sites throughout the Ashburn, VA, and Northern Virginia area as needed
