Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Technician I to install and maintain low‑voltage cabling in a data center setting. The role involves running cables, connecting wires, and working under supervision to ensure safe, compliant installations.

The position requires reading floor plans and blueprints, performing field terminations, and testing copper and fiber cabling. You will interact with customers and support project progression while keeping the data center organized and compliant.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic telecom hand tools and their safe use.
  • Clear understanding of job safety requirements and field protocols.
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans and port maps.
  • Familiarity with wiring schemes and copper/fiber testing.

Responsibilities

  • Install and decommission network cabling in a Data Center environment.
  • Deliver repeatable, quality solutions and drive process improvements.
  • Provide feedback on project progress to stakeholders.
  • Maintain Data Center cleanliness and adhere to safety standards.
  • Read blueprints and design documents for terminations and labeling.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
