Job summary

Ponca City Development Authority in Ponca City, OK is seeking a Low Voltage Cabling Technician to install voice, data, fiber and CCTV cabling, test and troubleshoot connections, and upgrade current products.

You will work under a Senior Technician, learn industry terminology and regulations, read blueprints, and provide customer support while maintaining proper documentation. The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a willingness to travel to multiple job sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain voice, data, fiber and CCTV cabling.
• Work under the direction of the Senior Technician.
• Organize, terminate and test cables.
• Troubleshoot issues.
• Install low voltage equipment including telephones, cameras, access points, monitors and outdoor WiFi devices.
• Handle service calls for repairs, adds, moves, and changes.
• Job sites may vary (multiple sites in one day or extended at one site).

Job description

Description: Locally owned company is looking to add to their team. In the role of the Low Voltage Cabling Technician your duties would require you to use hand and power tools as well as work in small spaces and from various heights. You install pathway systems, connect hardware, test and troubleshoot connections, upgrade current products, provide customer support, assist with manufacturer warranties, and maintain proper documentation. Working under a senior technician who teaches you related terminology, industry standards, and legal regulations, along with an understanding of telecommunications, security, data, and wireless systems. Additional qualifications include strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints, and a valid driver’s license to travel to site locations. You also need excellent critical thinking and customer service skills. This position pay will be based on experience, we are willing to train the right person.
