Job summary

TEKsystems in Raleigh, NC is seeking a contract Cable Technician to pull, dress and label cabling per TIA/EIA standards. You will assist with RJ45 terminations and patch panels under guidance, while labeling cables and performing basic punch-downs. Expect exposure to fiber handling and test work with supervision.

The role is fully onsite in Raleigh, with benefits described for temporary staff. Ideal candidates will bring experience in low voltage cabling and structured cabling environments.

Qualifications

• Termination/punchdown.
• Construction Experience.
• Has not worked in the META center in last 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Pull, dress, and label cabling according to TIA/EIA standards.
• Begin RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations with guidance.
• Assist in labeling and cable identification.
• Learn and perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks.
• Support cable testing using basic tools under supervision.
• Gain exposure to fiber cable dressing and basic handling.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
