Job summary

Next Level Technician in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Mid-Level Low Voltage Technician. You will pull, route, terminate, and test CAT5e/CAT6 cabling and install fiber optic runs on commercial projects throughout the Triangle. Hands-on experience with CAD/b blueprints, access control, CCTV, and compliant with OSHA safety protocols is required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of commercial structured cabling experience.
• Experience with CAT5e/CAT6 cabling.
• Experience in commercial environments such as healthcare, schools, offices, manufacturing facilities, or data centers.
• Fiber optic installation or termination is a plus.
• Access control or CCTV experience is a plus.
• Must have basic hand tools and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling.
• Install and terminate fiber optic cabling (termination experience preferred).
• Install racks, cabinets, patch panels, ladder rack, basket tray, J-hooks, and cable pathways.
• Build out and organize MDF/IDF closets.
• Test and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling using Fluke or similar testing equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and cable schedules.
• Assist with installation of access control, CCTV, and other low voltage systems as projects require.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas while following OSHA and customer safety requirements.
