Next Level Technician is seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician in Kings Point, NY to install and test structured cabling and data center infrastructure. You will work with copper and fiber, terminate connections, and ensure documentation is accurate across blueprints and diagrams.

Ideal candidates have 1–5+ years in commercial or data center environments, with Cat5e/Cat6 expertise and fiber experience preferred. Certifications like BICSI or OSHA are a plus and a PPE‑compliant kit is required.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of hands‑on experience in commercial or data center environments.
• Structured cabling experience with Cat5e/Cat6; fiber experience preferred.
• Experience with terminations, testing, and troubleshooting is a plus.
• Familiarity with telecom and data network infrastructure.
• BICSI, OSHA, or Lift certifications are a plus.

• Install Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling and fiber (single-mode and multi-mode)
• Terminate and test copper and fiber connections, including LC and MPO connectors
• Dress and organize cables using proper wire management, including cable trays and ladder racks
• Rack and stack network switches, servers, and other hardware
• Accurately label cables and components to maintain clean documentation
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and network diagrams
• Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality, reliability, and safety
• Work independently or lead small crews depending on experience level

Requirements

• 1–5+ years of hands‑on experience in commercial or data center environments
• Proven experience with structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 required; fiber experience preferred)
• Experience with terminations, testing, and troubleshooting is a plus
• Familiarity with telecom and data network infrastructure
• BICSI, OSHA, or Lift certifications are a plus
• Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi‑vis vest, steel toe boots)
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work in a team or independently
