Job summary

Next Level Technician in Nashville, TN seeks a Lead Low Voltage Cable Technician to supervise on-site teams and ensure safety and quality across projects. The role focuses on installation, termination, labeling, and testing of CAT5e/CAT6 cabling with blueprints interpretation and on-site troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on commercial or industrial low-voltage experience.
• Proven experience leading crews or supervising installation teams.
• Strong knowledge of CAT5e/CAT6 cabling and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct onsite teams of 3–5 low voltage technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
• Manage daily project tasks to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
• Oversee and perform installation, termination, dressing, and labeling of CAT5e/CAT6 cabling.
• Conduct cable testing using industry-standard equipment (Fluke or similar).
• Punch down voice and data jacks, ensuring secure and reliable connections.
• Install and terminate racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, workstation outlets, and firestopping materials.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, system layouts, and technical drawings.
• Safely operate ladders and lifts of all sizes (must be comfortable working at heights).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site as needed.

• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications highly preferred.
• Manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Must possess basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi‑vis vest, steel‑toe boots).
• Willingness to travel to job sites within Tennessee as needed.
