Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to optimize the trading environment, collaborating with traders, operations, exchanges, and developers. You will analyze system issues, design robust network infrastructure, and build automation across multiple data centers to support a high-performance trading platform.

The role requires Linux/UNIX proficiency, Python expertise, and a proactive, collaborative attitude.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical field.
Experience with Linux/UNIX and shell commands.
Practical knowledge of Python and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

Proactively monitor the overall health and performance of the trading platform.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex system, software, and networking issues.
Design, implement and optimize network infrastructure for low latency trading applications in data centers worldwide.
Build automation to manage and improve the production trading environment.
Coordinate changes and manage incidents with risk management and trading teams.
Manage and assess operational risk of change control into production.
Define and document process and procedure.
Other duties as assigned or needed
