Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Trading Infrastructure team to optimize the trading environment, monitor system health, and resolve infrastructure issues across global data centers.

You will monitor health, troubleshoot complex issues, design and optimize network infrastructure for low-latency trading applications, automate production operations, and coordinate changes with risk and trading teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
Advanced experience with Linux/UNIX and shell scripting.
Practical working knowledge of Python.
Understanding of routing, multicast, and ethernet.
Rigorous, detail‑oriented approach to operations.

Responsibilities

Monitor health and performance of the trading platform proactively.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex system, software, and networking issues.
Design, implement and optimize network infrastructure for low‑latency trading apps across global data centers.
Build automation to manage and improve the production trading environment.
Coordinate changes with risk management and trading teams and manage incidents.
Assess operational risk of changes into production environment.
Define and document processes and procedures.
