Job summary

Talentify in Foster City, CA is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for a 6-month onsite contract to develop embedded software and tooling for safety-critical automated test infrastructure.

You'll architect low-latency C++ apps for embedded Linux, design Python automation frameworks, and build hardware/software sensor emulators. Cross-functional collaboration across Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and CAN is expected for robust validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong C++ development for low-latency, high-performance code in user and kernel space.
• Extensive Linux development experience including networking and system-level programming.
• Proficiency with Python, Pytest, Git, Bazel, and GTest.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain production-quality C++ applications for embedded Linux.
• Design Python-based automation frameworks and tooling to streamline test execution.
• Build and expand hardware/software sensor emulators and validation frameworks.
• Integrate embedded software with Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and CAN hardware.
• Test and troubleshoot hardware and software issues with end-to-end verification.
