Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. in New York is seeking a Senior C/C++ Developer to build high-throughput, low-latency trading systems. You will own the full software lifecycle and integrate ML models into latency-sensitive infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years of C/C++ on Linux, strong multithreading, and proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools. You will collaborate with business and sales teams to meet strategic goals and provide production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on C/C++ development on Linux.
• 2+ years of scripting (Python, Perl, or Bash).
• Experience with C++ unit testing frameworks and CI tools.
• Experience with code analysis tools such as Coverity, Valgrind, gcov.
• Familiarity with gradient boosting or deep learning models is a plus.
• Strong TCP/IP and multicast networking understanding.
• Multithreaded, performance-oriented programming skills.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools and prompting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and propose technical solutions that deliver projects within cost, time, and quality targets.
• Work with project managers to build a work breakdown structure for each deliverable and provide realistic estimates.
• Develop and unit test all new or modified functionality following software development best practices.
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers on integration, functional, and regression testing, and own the resolution of priority defects within your codebase.
• Promote software changes across all environments, safely and responsibly, through to live production.
• Provide on-call technical support during business hours and, on rotation, off-hours based on subject-matter expertise.
• Contribute to team exercises that identify and implement continuous improvements.
