Job summary

The NYSE, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), invites applications for a full-time Lead C/C++ Developer to join a high-throughput, low-latency trading environment in New York. You will guide lifecycle activities from requirements to production support, focusing on performance, reliability and scalable backend systems.

Ideal candidates have strong Linux C/C++ experience, proven capacity to optimize complex routing or matching engines, and excellent communication with business teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years hands on C/C++ programming on Linux.
• Experience with code analysis tools Coverity, Valgrind, gcov/lcov.
• Minimum 2+ years scripting experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals, algorithms and data structures.
• Strong performance-oriented programming skills and TCP/IP/Multicast knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and propose technical solutions within cost, time and quality constraints.
• Work with project managers to break down tasks and provide realistic estimates.
• Develop and unit test functions following software development best practices.
• Collaborate with other developers and QA engineers for full cycle testing.
• Promote software changes across environments through to Live Production.
• Participate in team exercises to identify areas for improvement.
• Continuously improve system performance and propose better solutions.
• Interact with business and operations to solve design and operational challenges.
