Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) seeks a Lead C/C++ Developer to join its NYSE systems team in a high-throughput, low-latency trading environment.

You will guide design, coding, testing and production support across the full software lifecycle, with emphasis on performance and reliability. The role requires strong Linux C/C++ expertise, debugging tools, and clear communication with business and sales teams to meet strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on C/C++ experience on Linux.
• Experience with code analysis and coverage tools (Coverity, Valgrind, gcov/lcov).
• Minimum 2+ years hands-on scripting experience.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Strong performance-oriented programming skills.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and Multicast network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and propose technical solutions within cost, time and quality.
• Create work breakdown structures with estimates for deliverables.
• Develop and unit test functions created or modified according to software development best practices.
• Collaborate with other Developers and QA Engineers to execute full cycle integration, functional and regression testing.
• Promote software changes across all environments, safely and responsibly, through to Live Production.
• Participate in team exercises to identify and implement areas for continuous improvement.
• Continuously improve the system performance and propose better solutions.
• Effectively interact with business and operations for solving design and operational challenges.
