Job summary

Grace Klein Community seeks a Love Does Coordinator Assistant to mobilize volunteers and expand community outreach through the Love Does initiative. The role coordinates events, secures supplies, and champions Scripture card projects with donors and partners.

You will recruit volunteers, track impact data, and collaborate with hospitals, schools, and faith-based partners to grow compassionate outreach across Birmingham and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable recruiting and leading volunteers.
• Experience in nonprofit work, volunteer coordination, event planning, or community engagement preferred.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and transport supplies as needed.
• Flexible schedule with occasional evenings or weekends, especially for wedding rescues.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute Love Does outreach opportunities.
• Maintain and manage Love Does volunteer sign-ups (Signup Genius).
• Ensure supplies for volunteers to create Love Does and deliver.
• Equip volunteers to write Scripture cards and distribute them.
• Coordinate distribution of Scripture cards with Love Does outreach.
• Recruit, equip, and encourage volunteers to participate in Love Does initiatives.
• Develop partnerships with hospitals, schools, police and fire departments.
• Track volunteer hours, number of rescues, and impact data.
• Promote opportunities and share impact stories with the social media team.
