Job summary

Crenn Dining Group is seeking a Service Assistant for Bar Crenn in San Francisco. You will greet guests, present the wine bar concept, and coordinate with culinary and service teams to ensure a seamless, Michelin-level dining experience.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in hospitality, strong wine knowledge, and experience with Toast, SevenRooms, and Tock. This is a full‑time hourly role with tips, based at Bar Crenn in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of food and wine.
• 2-5 years of hospitality or customer service experience.
• 1+ year of luxury or Michelin-experience preferred.
• Proficient with Toast, SevenRooms and Tock.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Clear, professional communication with BOH/FOH.
• Ability to drive revenue through effective sales.
• A sociable, open and positive personality with composure.
• Experience leading a small team is a plus.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to high service quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room, service station and trays to service standards.
• Set up the bar and mise en place for cocktails.
• Maintain knowledge of current menu items and beverages.
• Ensure high standards of personal presentation.
• Welcome guests and build rapport using names when possible.
• Escalate guest concerns to Bar Manager or Wine Director.
• Coach and develop junior staff as required.
• Enter orders in POS and coordinate timely food/by course delivery.
• Collaborate with FOH/BOH to ensure smooth service.
