Job summary

TPG Hotels & Resorts in Washington, DC is seeking a skilled Lounge Bartender to elevate guest experiences at our bar. You will craft cocktails, serve a wide range of beverages, and engage guests with warmth and flair.

You will maintain a clean, well-stocked bar, manage cash transactions, follow safety rules, and work with servers and management to deliver exceptional service across shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bartender or in hospitality preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, recipes, and beverage presentation.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and active listening.

Responsibilities

• Beverage preparation: mix and serve a wide range of drinks following recipes and standards.
• Menu knowledge: know drink ingredients, flavor profiles, and presentation.
• Customer interaction: take orders, provide recommendations, and offer personalized service.
• Presentation: ensure drinks are visually appealing with proper garnishes and glassware.
• Bar setup and maintenance: prepare and keep the bar stocked and clean during shifts.
• Cash handling: process payments accurately and manage tabs and transactions.
• Entertainment and engagement: create a lively atmosphere with recommendations.
• Inventory management: monitor stock and report shortages; assist with counts and orders.
• Compliance: adhere to alcohol laws and age verification.
• Collaboration: work with servers, kitchen, and management for seamless service.
