Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking an experienced Retail Development Manager (Retail Operations Project Manager) to lead retail projects in Louisiana, including expansions, relocations, renovations, conversions and new ground up stores. You will drive consultative selling, manage scope, cost, schedule and deliverables with store owners and Ace stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have capital project selling experience and at least two years of retail project management, with a strong understanding

Qualifications

• B.S. / B.A. Degree in business administration or construction or commensurate experience.
• Capital project selling experience.
• A minimum of two years of retail project management experience.
• Working knowledge and understanding of Ace retail operations programs and initiatives.
• Understanding of basic retail store operations and management.
• General building construction knowledge preferred
• Ability to formulate detailed estimates and schedules through development of the project scope and ensure cost communication with the retailer and stakeholders.
• Ability to review potential real estate locations and lease construction portions with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Align with Ace’s values, mission and vision with internal and external stakeholders.
• Consult and close sales of retail projects using consultative selling skills with retailers and renovation projects.
• Inspire and motivate retailers and Ace stakeholders to ensure maximum project penetration in the territory.
• Plan and develop scope of retail projects for expansion, relocation, renovation, conversion and new stores.
• Coordinate with District Managers to develop a store renovation prospect list and strategy.
• Manage all resources to meet project schedules.
• Assess retail potential to optimize market share with key stakeholders.
• Review real estate locations for feasibility and lease considerations with stakeholders.
• Track and maintain project updates in corporate project management tools.
• Periodically visit sites to verify installation and turnover to retailer and DM.
