Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking an experienced Retail Development Project Manager to lead growth projects across MO/AR, including expansions, relocations, renovations, conversions, and new store development. You will guide independent Ace retailers, aligning resources and cross-functional teams to maximize long-term growth and profitability.

Successful candidates will combine project management with consultative selling and relationship management, acting as a trusted advisor from planning

Qualifications

• Three+ years in project management, retail operations, store development, construction management, business consulting or related field.
• Working knowledge of Ace retail operations programs and initiatives.
• Understanding of basic retail store operations and management.
• Ability to develop detailed estimates and schedules and communicate costs to stakeholders.
• Ability to review real estate locations and evaluate landlord/tenant criteria with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Align with Ace values and support stakeholders across the project lifecycle.
• Serve as primary point of contact and trusted adviser for retailers throughout projects.
• Consult, develop, and close retail project opportunities using consultative selling during meetings with retailers and renovation projects.
• Inspire retailers and Ace stakeholders to maximize project penetration within the territory.
• Build relationships with retailers and cross-functional partners to align resources and achieve project outcomes.
• Plan and develop scope for expansion, relocation, renovation, conversion and new stores; coordinate with District Managers.
• Manage resources to meet schedules; track project updates in project management tools.
• Assess retail potential to optimize store locations and market share.
• Review potential real estate locations with stakeholders and ensure lease-related criteria are met.
