Job summary

Chamberlain University seeks a Visiting Professor to deliver undergraduate and graduate nursing courses. Courses meet once or twice weekly for eight weeks, blending face-to-face interactions with online discussions and assignments.

Ideal candidates hold MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing, with active Louisiana RN and APRN licenses, plus national PMHNP certification. Travel to clinical practicum sites is expected; compensation is per Earned Credit Hour.

Qualifications

MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing required.
Active unencumbered Louisiana RN license required.
Active unencumbered Louisiana APRN license required.
National certification through AANP or ANCC for PMHNP required.
Minimum 2 years teaching experience, preferably graduate level; online teaching preferred.
Minimum 2 years nursing practice in a clinical setting required.

Responsibilities

Conduct site visits to clinical practicum locations across the region, typically 1–2 hours per visit.
Demonstrate Chamberlain Care by displaying professional behavior and collaboration.
Meet the needs of a diverse student body with flexible, student-centered approaches.
Identify opportunities to enhance student engagement and quickly respond to requests for help.
Share professional nursing insights to bring industry perspectives into courses.
