Job summary

Chamberlain University is seeking a Visiting Professor to deliver practitioner-focused education for undergraduate and graduate students in nursing and health professions. Courses meet weekly or bi-weekly, with face-to-face interaction blended with online discussions and assignments.

Candidates will bring clinical nursing expertise, teaching experience (graduate level preferred) and an active Louisiana RN/APRN license.

Qualifications

MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing required.
Active Louisiana RN license required.
Active Louisiana APRN license required.
National certification through AANP or ANCC required for AGAC.
Minimum 2 years teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.
Minimum 2 years of nursing practice in a clinical setting.
Subject matter expertise in the course of instruction.
Excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct site visits to clinical practicum locations in Louisiana (1–2 hours per site).
Share industry experience to bring nursing trends to students.
Support a diverse student body with engaging, practical learning.
Foster a culture of care, professionalism and collaboration.
