Job summary

Chamberlain University seeks a Visiting Professor to deliver practitioner-focused education to undergraduate and graduate students in nursing and health professions in Louisiana. Ideal candidates have MSN and DNP/PhD, active LA RN and APRN licenses, and national certification for FNP. Travel to multiple clinical sites and a hybrid in-office schedule are expected.

Qualifications

• MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing required.
• Active unencumbered Louisiana RN nursing license.
• Active unencumbered Louisiana APRN nursing license.
• National certification through the AANP or ANCC required for FNP.
• Reliable transportation with willingness to travel to clinical practicum sites.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience, preferably at graduate level; online teaching encouraged.
• Minimum 2 years nursing practice in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to clinical practicum locations in Louisiana region, typically 1–2 hours per visit.
• Demonstrate Chamberlain Care by modeling professional behavior and fostering collaboration.
• Meet the needs of a diverse student body across ages and backgrounds.
• Engage students and respond quickly to support requests.
• Present professional experience to bring nursing trends and industry insights into courses.
