Job summary

Cox Automotive in Kent, WA is seeking a Lot Operations Specialist II to supervise and coordinate vehicle movements, orient new drivers, and ensure efficient lot operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will work daytime shifts at a Cox location, maintain logs, lead lane operations on sale days, and collaborate with the lot manager to meet safety and quality standards while providing reliable transportation support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years’ related experience, OR higher degree/certification in a related field.
• 5 years’ related experience also acceptable.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their job duties and assist supervisor in assigning and directing the work of employees.
• Communicate with supervisor to assure proper flow of vehicles and maintain log of stock numbers for each vehicle moved and its lot location.
• Communicate schedules and assignments to crew members.
• Serve as lane leader on sale days.
• Coordinate move requirements with lot manager and quadrant coordinator.
• Assist supervisor in staging and parking lease lanes and pre-sales.
• Manage vans and transport drivers to locations per schedule.
• Shuttle employees to and from parking lots on sale days and to remote sites.
• Pick-up and drop-off at Auction, parking lots, dealerships and customer locations.
• Perform daily maintenance and checks of vans and refuel/repair as needed.
• Enforce safety policies and work with Market Safety Manager on safety activities.
• Review workloads with manager and plan staffing levels to ensure efficiency and quality service.
• Lead the team at the location by upholding Cox/Manheim values.
• Adhere to all company policies regarding conduct.
• Performs other duties as assigned; overtime may be required.
