Job summary

ADESA is hiring for a Lot Operations Support role in Hutchins, TX. You will assist with vehicle movements, inventory control, and overall lot readiness to ensure smooth sale days. Responsibilities include operating service trucks and forklifts, staging vehicles, and coordinating with shop and admin teams.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 18+ age, and a valid driver’s license. Automotive or auction experience and forklift certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes, including tow trucks, forklifts, and the service truck.
• Automotive or auction experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications.
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Support lot operations by preparing and staging vehicles for sale, including stickering and marking vehicles.
• Move vehicles using a lot tow truck or forklift and operate the service truck to support the driver team.
• Record vehicle movements on the property using electronic devices for inventory accuracy.
• Assist with vehicle readiness tasks (jumping vehicles, adding fluids, tire inflation) and maintain lot organization.
• Coordinate with shop and operations to ensure efficient flow from check-in to sale line.
• Provide customer service support and coordinate with administrative teams for sale day activities.
• Verify vehicle mileage, make year, and VIN for accurate records.
• Maintain safe work areas and report incidents or hazards to management.
