Job summary

Holman Recon Center is seeking a Part Time Vehicle Porter in Mount Laurel, NJ. You will drive vehicles to various locations, manage the lot, and assist technicians with basic tasks while ensuring safety and accuracy in inventory records.

The role emphasizes customer service, vehicle cleaning, and collaboration with production teams. Prior experience in automotive settings and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles to and from shop areas and installation sites, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Keep track of vehicle inventory and update records as needed.
• Receive and sort vehicles on arrival, organize the lot for easy access.
• Provide excellent customer service and direct inquiries to the right people.

Our teams deliver the Holman Experience by treating our customers and each other as we would like to be treated, and creating positive, rewarding relationships all around.The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.Holman Recon Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Part Time Vehicle Porter to join their team and the Holman Family!Job Duties:Drive vehicles to and from various locations, including shop technician work areas and installation sites ensuring safe and efficient handling.Keep track of inventory, monitoring arrivals and departures, and updating records as needed.Use standardized method to check vehicles and indicate as received to ensure accurate vehicle inventoryReceive vehicles using computerized tablet, note as unidentified and report out status.Arrange vehicles on the lot in an organized manner to maximize space and facilitate easy access.Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, directing them to appropriate personnel, and ensuring their satisfaction with the customized vehicles and equipment.Clean both the interior and exterior of vehicles to present them in pristine condition to customers, as requested.Assist technicians with basic maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as tire pressure checks, fluid top-ups, and battery checks.Ensure the safety and security of vehicles, equipment, and premises, reporting any issues or concerns to management immediately.Assist production and installation teams as needed, including transporting equipment and materials.Perform all other duties and special projects as assignedEducation and/or Training:High School Diploma or equivalentValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record requiredExperience driving a standard transmission vehicle strongly preferredRelevant Work Experience:1-3 years’ experience in a similar role within the automotive industry, particularly in a dealership or service center environment is a plusExperience with driving various types of vehicles, including trucks preferredFamiliarity with basic automotive maintenance tasks, such as tire pressure checks and fluid top-ups a plus#LI-GC1At Holman, we exist to provide rewarding careers and better lives for employees and their families.
