Job summary

Chubb is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Lost Time Claim Examiner for our Northeast, New York, and New Jersey Region. The successful candidate will handle Connecticut claims from our New Haven office and collaborate with medical providers, attorneys, and vendors to ensure timely, fair resolutions.

This role requires knowledge of state WC statutes, the ability to manage complex cases, and strong communication and time management skills.

• Knowledge of workers’ compensation statutes, regulations, and compliance.
• Experience using data analytics to expedite claim resolutions.
• Strong customer service focus with the ability to manage sensitive cases.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking with attention to deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with leadership and peers.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of lost time workers’ compensation claims from setup to closure.
• Conduct 3-part investigations and obtain facts from insured, claimant, and medical providers.
• Evaluate facts to determine compensation and communicate denials when applicable.
• Prepare investigation and settlement reports for Team Leader review.
• Manage reserves within authority and coordinate with attorneys on hearings.
