Job summary

Preference given to candidates with Iowa-specific claims experience. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and licensure requirements may apply. This position reports to the Director, Workers’ Compensation Claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three years of workers’ compensation claims experience required.
• Must be eligible to obtain required licenses.
• Experience handling Iowa jurisdictional claims preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage medical and indemnity benefits to cost-effective conclusions.
• Determine claim outcomes using policy and guidelines.
• Gather facts via interviews and record statements when needed.
• Collaborate with directors, nurse case managers, and counsel on treatment and litigation.
