Job summary

Kroger Co. in Lacey, WA is seeking an Asset Protection Security Specialist (HR) to prevent and reduce loss from bad debt, cash discrepancies, and theft while upholding safety and corporate policies.

The role requires collaboration with store leadership to deter theft, protect associates and customers, and deliver incidents to the asset protection manager. Must be able to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice required or equivalent
• Experience in retail security and/or law enforcement preferred
• Ability to pass a drug test and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Model Customer 1st behavior and encourage others to deliver excellent service
• Detect, deter and/or detain external theft suspects
• Reduce theft by initiating preventive actions
• Monitor large shrink areas in stores
• Report incidents to the asset protection manager
• Support customer and associate relations through communication and training
• Provide credible court testimony
• Identify areas of high theft
• Verify compliance with corporate policies
• Promote and follow company initiatives
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift, overtime and weekends
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
