• Conduct safety trainings and meetings to educate employees on hazards.
• Enforce safety programs and monitor their effectiveness.
• Assist in writing and interpreting procedures.
• Oversee safety and loss prevention for both Dry and Freezer locations.

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: SAFETY/LOSS PREVENTION SUPERVISOR IN RUTHER GLEN, VA

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Safety/Loss Prevention Supervisor to join our team in Ruther Glen, VA. This individual will be responsible for identifying, eliminating, and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using safety standards, best management practices, and analytical techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $47,500 to $52,500/yearly, paid weekly


• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision


• Full time schedule available


• Located in Ruther Glen, VA

(Salary range based on experience)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct training on OSHA regulations and company policies.


• Perform job site analysis, determine employee exposure, and institute safe work procedures.


• Conduct daily safety inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions.


• Maintain all site-required documentation related to safety issues, i.e. accident reports, inspection reports, training logs.


• Conduct accident investigations and facilitate the return to work program along with the staffing agencies.


• Must be 100% knowledgeable of Workers Comp, as Safety General Manager will be responsible to oversee all aspects of Workers Comp.


• Submission of weekly/monthly reports to Safety General Manager/ and Loss Prevention General Manager.


• Manage daily activities regarding injury management and workers compensation issues.


• Work in conjunction with the Staffing Agencies in administrating the company’s Substance Abuse Program, including drug and alcohol testing.


• Conducts safety training and meetings to educate employees on recognizing and controlling workplace hazards.


• Enforces the Company’s safety program and monitors its effectiveness.


• Employees are responsible for interpreting existing and/or writing new procedures


• Safety/LP Supervisor that has a “Dry” and “Freezer’ location will oversee both the Safety and Loss Prevention Operations for both locations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.


• Working knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 standards, First Aid, CPR, OSHA 500 certification.


• Familiar with warehouse management systems.


• Familiar with Hazard Communication Standards.


• Employees have frequent contact with employees, representatives of outside agencies and organizations and therefore must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.


• Strong computer skills required; i.e., All Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word, Power Point)
