Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer to join our team in a full-time capacity. The role focuses on safeguarding the facility, supervising entry/exit, and conducting security and safety audits across the site.

The position requires a drive for safety, ability to read SOPs, monitor CCTV, and train staff. Evening and weekend availability may be required in a dynamic distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Criminal Justice degree or 3–5 years security/Loss Prevention experience preferred.
• Experience with CCTV preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or able to obtain it through company training.
• Be at least 18 years old and able to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
• Walks through and around the exterior conducting safety, hazard, and security audits.
• Monitors hazard materials storeroom and cleans spills.
• Oversees disposition of damaged items and moves items to a safe location.
• conducts general investigations, inventory and cycle counts.
• Operates computers and office equipment.
• Reads SOPs, hears alarms, and monitors CCTV.
• Provides trainings to other employees.
• Performs housekeeping and keeps work areas neat.

$21.50 per hour

Job Description:

Loss Prevention Officer

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM

What You’ll Do

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.

• Walks through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Safety/Hazard/Security audits.

• Continually monitors the hazard materials storeroom and cleans up spills.

• Oversees and supervises the disposition of damaged items, loads items onto push carts, and moves to safe location.

• Walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations, inventory counts and cycle counts.

• Use computers and office equipment.

• Must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV.

• Provides trainings to other employees.

• Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.

What you need to succeed

• Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role.

• Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.

• Experience with CCTV preferred.

• Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement Field preferred.

• Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

• CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.
