Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer to safeguard our Prescott Valley facility. The role involves supervising entry/exit, conducting safety audits, monitoring hazard materials, and assisting with investigations and counts. Responsibilities

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
• Walks through and around the exterior of the facility conducting safety/hazard/security audits.
• Continually monitors hazard materials storeroom and cleans up spills.
• Oversees and supervises the disposition of damaged items and loads onto push carts.
• Walks facility to conduct investigations, inventory and cycle counts.
• Uses computers and office equipment.
• Reads SOPs, monitors alarms and CCTV.
• Provides trainings to other employees.
• Performs housekeeping and keeps areas neat and clean.

$19.55 - $23.85 per hour

Job Description

Loss Prevention Officer

Shift Details: Sunday-Thursday 4:00pm - 1:30pm

What You’ll Do

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
• Walks through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Saftey/Hazard/Security audits.
• Continually monitors the hazard materials storeroom and cleans up spills.
• Oversees and supervises the disposition of damaged items, loads items onto push carts, and moves to safe location.
• Walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations, inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Use computers and office equipment.
• Must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV.
• Provides trainings to other employees.
• Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.

What you need to succeed

• Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role.
• Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
• Experience with CCTV preferred.
• Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement Field preferred.
• Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.
