Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer II for 2nd shift (2PM-12AM on M W S, or 2PM-10PM on M T W TH). Responsibilities include supervising entry/exit, conducting safety audits, monitoring spills, and handling inventories.

Requires CCTV experience, ability to work varied shifts, and a criminal justice background or security experience. Includes comprehensive benefits, tuition reimbursement, and career opportunities across 15 distribution centers nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Criminal Justice degree or equivalent security experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
• Conducts Safety/Hazard/Security audits around the facility exterior.
• Monitors hazard materials storeroom and cleans spills.
• Supervises disposition of damaged items and moves loads to safe locations.
• Performs general investigations, counts and cycle counts.
• Uses computers and office equipment; reads SOPs; monitors alarms.
• Provides trainings to other employees.
• Maintains housekeeping and clean work areas.

Compensation Details

$15.40 to $23.00 per hour

Job Description

Loss Prevention officer II 2nd Shift - 4x10(S,M,W,TH)-2PM-12AM or 5x8(S,M,T,W,TH)-2PM-10PM

What You’ll Do

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
• Walks through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Safety/Hazard/Security audits.
• Continually monitors the hazard materials storeroom and cleans up spills.
• Oversees and supervises the disposition of damaged items, loads items onto push carts, and moves to safe location.
• Walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations, inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Use computers and office equipment.
• Must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV.
• Provides trainings to other employees.
• Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
• Experience with CCTV preferred.
• Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement Field preferred.
• Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.
