Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Store Detective to protect guests, Team Members, and products, ensuring a secure and welcoming shopping environment.

You will monitor store activity via visual observation and CCTV, document incidents with high-quality video for investigations, and support law enforcement as needed. In this role, you’ll help maintain safety as the top priority, provide testimony in court when required, and contribute to a trusted store experience for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more in Asset Protection, Law Enforcement, or Loss Prevention.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Regional travel required—daily, more than 50%.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Detect and apprehend shoplifters using standard visual practices and CCTV in the store environment.
• Provide testimony in court cases as required by law enforcement or court representatives.
• Communicate effectively with customers and law enforcement personnel.
• Perform other security and loss prevention duties to ensure a safe environment for customers and Team Members.
• Maintain safety as the top priority for Team Members, guests, and products.
